Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a form of a company's responsibility to the community and the surrounding environment that are affected by the company's activities. CSR is a familiar term when viewed from a legal perspective, including in Islamic law. So far, there has been no alternative concept of CSR that has been extracted from the values contained in the culture and belief system, including Islamic teachings, even though the values built by each culture and belief aim to achieve community welfare. Based on this, this study aims to find out whether the existing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) concept follows the principles of Islamic law. Has Islam regulated this? So that the activities carried out by the company are of worship value for business actors. This is normative legal research that refers to primary, secondary and tertiary materials. The result of the study is that CSR is contained in the teachings of Islam; Islam has long been building a system of life-based on social principles and justice. Islam strongly supports CSR because it cannot be denied that business creates many unexpected social problems. As a result, it is the responsibility of the company and the company to fix the problem. This is natural because they need to explore various natural resources for business sustainability. Therefore, they must be responsible for the community and the environment in return.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see how the role of the Indonesian government in handling cases of sexual violence against women. The concepts used are the role and handling of the state and violence and protection of women. The method used is a qualitative approach to data analysis of cases of sexual violence taken from Komnas Perempuan data. The news media analyzed using NVivo 12 Plus software as an easy-to-use application. This study indicates that three factors become obstacles in handling cases of sexual violence, namely legal factors, fear, and inadequate protection. Because sexual violence against women is usually unresolved, resolve by paying a certain amount of money, marrying the perpetrator, imprisoning the perpetrator, and even making peace with the family. At the same time, the state's role is vital in handling cases of sexual violence through legal protection and influencing the justice of all citizens. But in fact, the data obtained shows that the handling and legal protection is still not adequate; women still experience sexual violence. The State of Indonesia uses various ways to handle cases of sexual violence with laws made on the Elimination of Domestic Violence or the Elimination of Sexual Violence. However, this does not become the basis for stopping sexual violence crimes in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract: In democratic life, community participation plays a critical role. This is because the ultimate goal of a democracy being built is to create direct public participation. One form of democratic development is through elections. To see community participation in general elections, it can be done through social exchanges. Therefore, this study aims to dissect the social exchange theory perspective of people's participation in democratic life through general elections. Studying social exchanges between the community and political elites is fair. It does not violate regulations—descriptive qualitative research method with primary and secondary data retrieval through sources relevant to the research object. Humans are rational beings who always count the sacrifices and rewards of a situation. In any condition, humans will still think about what benefits they get. In the context of democratic life through elections between the public and political elites, it is seen that social exchanges occur between elites who need help (needs votes) and people who look more at economic benefits and psychological comfort. In this study, the author also reveals mutually beneficial relationships between the elite and the community that lead to social exchanges.Keywords: Social Exchange, Community Participation, General Election, Democracy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence and work motivation on employee performance with incentives as intervening variables (Case Study on National and Political Unity Agency Employees, Simalungun Regency, Pematang Siantar City). The research method used is the quantitative data method. Data collection in this study was carried out by distributing questionnaires (questionnaires) to respondents. The results of this study are 1) The emotional intelligence (X1) variable has a positive and statistically significant effect on incentives (Z).2) The Variable Work Motivation (X2) has no positive or significant effect on Incentives (Z).3) Emotional intelligence (X1) has a significant effect on employee performance (Y). 4) Work Motivation (X2) has a significant effect on Employee Performance (Y). 5) Incentives (Z) have a significant effect on employee performance (Y). 6) The incentive (Z) is an intervening variable that mediates the effect of emotional intelligence (X1) on employee performance (Y).7 Incentive (Z) is an intervening variable that mediates the effect of work motivation (X2) on employee performance (Y). This shows that emotional intelligence (X1) and work motivation (X2) can explain the incentive (Z) of 88.9%. This shows that the Incentive (Z) Emotional Intelligence (X1) and Work Motivation (X2) can explain Employee Performance (Y) by 65.2%. The author suggests that human resources or employees should prioritize the quality of emotional intelligence in addition to their intellectual intelligence so that there is a balance in terms of achieving good performance. In order for employees' work motivation to increase, the National Unity and Political Agency of Simalungun Regency Pematang Siantar City should increase the level of persistence of employees by paying attention and developing skills in order to advance the agency and improve employee performance. The incentive compensation system that is implemented should generate benefits for both parties, namely the National Unity and Political Agency of Simalungun Regency, Pematang Siantar City, as the provider of incentive compensation, and employees.

Abstract

The flow of Indonesian labour migration abroad is increasing day by day. This is due to unresolved domestic labour problems. The 2000 International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families is the most significant international human rights document addressing the human rights of migrant workers. The legal problem highlighted in this article is how constitutional rights of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) are protected by legal assurances and practice. This is a normative legal research project that explains, investigates, and analyzes the legal protection of Indonesian migrant workers' rights overseas. The discussion results show that legal guarantees and legal protection practices for PMI's constitutional rights abroad are pretty good and are considered advanced because they use the migrant worker protection convention as the paramount consideration, although there are still inconsistencies in applying the rules.

Abstract

Religion is not only worth the rights, but also the value of the obligations. Violence in the name of religion can never be justified. Secular, symbiotic, or integrated are the choices of state-religion relations. Indonesia is not a secular country, nor is it a religious state, Indonesia is not religious. Religion is the government's business. This article focuses on the lack of worship facilities in Cilegon city other than mosques. This study aims to identify, analyze religious harmony governance in Cilegon city, Banten Province. The methods used are qualitative and descriptive, with in-depth interviews, observations, document studies, and website searches accompanied by triangulation of sources and techniques. The findings do not have the operationalization of regulations and middle ground practices of religious tolerance in Cilegon. The conclusion of governance practices has not been in accordance with the principles of good governance. For example, the establishment is not a negotiable synagogue, so that the toleration practices in de jure state there isn't a worship area, and furthermore, de facto states there is a worship area.

Abstract

Pasir Limau Kapas Subdistrict is located in Rokan Hilir Regency, which has interesting tourist destinations but needs to be developed. In particular, Biski Beach tourism, which is visited by many local people and those from outside the area, but in reality, it is still far from what is expected, even though the potential for natural tourism objects is very feasible. A solution is sought. This is an interesting issue to be discussed. Pasir Limau Kapas Subdistrict [Palika], Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province, is an underdeveloped, isolated, and outermost area. This position makes welfare an important and major issue. Important and main issues related to welfare include minimal and slow infrastructure development and ambiguous development policies [the average policy issued overlaps and does not support each other related to development in border areas]. Based on various important issues, this study aims first to explain how the development of the border area (Case Study: Biski Beach Tourism Object, Pasir Limau Kapas District, Rokan Hilir Regency). The research approach used is qualitative with a descriptive analysis method. Primary and secondary data were gathered through document reviews, interviews with informants chosen using the purposive sampling technique, and observations and literature reviews.After collecting the data, it was analyzed by means of the Interactive Analysis Model. The theory used in this research is the Theory of Regional Development according to Riyadi (2000). There are three indicators of the success of regional development that can be seen. The first is productivity, the second is efficiency, and the last is community participation, which can ensure the continuity of the implementation of a program in an area. Based on these indicators, it is known that the development of the border area is not optimal.

Abstract

Abstract: Taxes play an important role in the functioning of the state, particularly in the implementation of development initiatives. Similar to taxes levied against the federal government, regional taxes play an important role in the performance of state and local government functions. Regional taxes are used for a variety of purposes, including regulation, budgeting, redistribution, resource allocation, and a combination of these. To be considered excellent, a local tax must, in principle, be able to enhance local revenue, which in turn improves the functioning of local government. As a result, initiatives to improve the functioning of local governments through the optimization of local tax collections are discussed in this paper. The descriptive qualitative method is being used in this investigation. It was discovered from the study's findings that a source of funding, which is primarily derived from local revenue (also known as PAD), is required for the implementation of autonomy and decentralization. Local taxes and levies should be used to fund PAD, but the contribution is currently small, accounting for only 16 percent of total PAD. Increased regional income can be achieved by maximizing the intensification of local tax collections and regional levies, which can be done in the case of attempts to improve regional performance, as previously stated.Keywords: Local Tax, Local Government, Performance, Local Revenue (PAD).

Abstract

The article entitled Waiting for a New Leader Ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election (Reflection on 76 Years of Independence from a Cultural Perspective) is a study of constructive thinking about the political rights of citizens of all ethnic groups in Indonesia to hold power. power in our beloved Republic. Through qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis approach, positive responses from informants through structured and systematic interviews and supporting literature can explain the phenomenon under study. The results obtained through the research show that the government and related state institutions respond to the political rights of citizens to assume the position of President based on the mechanism of democratic principles and rules in accordance with Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. The constitution and ideals of the Proclamation of National Independence by looking at the figure of a candidate for leader without distinction of race , ethnicity and culture

Abstract

A few decades ago, the internet was only known by a handful of people who did have an interest in the world of technology, especially computers. However, with the increasing years and the times, people's interest in the internet is growing rapidly, even the internet has become an inseparable part of their lives. Now the internet is not only entertainment and information; it has even been used as a medium of business and trade known as Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce). E-Commerce is buying and selling carried out via the internet, which can benefit consumers. Still, on the other hand, sometimes it is detrimental to consumers because they often do not get the protection that provides certainty in a dispute. In the E-commerce business transaction, which is a characteristic of business to business transactions where business actors conduct transactions with fellow entrepreneurs, business-to-consumer transactions are carried out by business actors with consumers themselves. The benefits of E-Commerce transactions for consumers, consumers can make transactions for 24 hours without leaving the house and do not require transportation for selling costs. Protection of E-Commerce consumers is regulated in Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning consumer protection for online transactions or E-commerce. In the Trade Law, the regulated E-commerce trading system stipulates that every person or business entity that trades goods or services must provide complete and correct data and information.
